Classicalmusicmatters.com is an online calendar, blog, and information hub covering all classical musical concerts and events throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties (and sometimes a bit beyond).

In 2008, after months of talking to informal focus groups, presenters, and audience members, David Gordon conceived, designed and created this website. CMM was officially launched in July, 2009 with a string of 15 blog posts from the Carmel Bach Festival by Monterey Herald writer Barbara Rose Shuler.  (We'll reach our 100th blog post soon! This entire internet presence exists as a free public service to the Central Coast Region, and receives no income from advertising and no payments from sponsors or organizations listed in the calendar.

The website and blog are dedicated to serving the people and organizations that bring classical music to the Central Coast, and the audiences young and old who listen to it.
